Social media is instantly growing, online users such as, teenagers and young adults are increasing in the use technology and social media on a daily. Today social networking sites are currenting one of the most fastest and largest growing industries in society. Social media plays a major role in the way today s youth are growing up. A number of people engage and encourage social media sites without considering the effects it has on society. Online social networking sites allows one to create a profile, gather online friends, post photographs and videos and have the ability to communicate with other individuals online. Furthermore, being hacked online has become common throughout the years. A large number o f users get hacked everyday. Computers hackers have terrorized a number social media accounts. If online networks were to acknowledge and be knowledgeable with the information people shared online hacking and identity theft would be prevented. Overall, online privacy is limited to a user online, hacking as well as identity theft are common through the access of social media. Secondly, Sending, receiving, or forwarding sexual photos on social media has become a concern and issue. Sexting has become a concern for majority of parents teenagers going online and sharing of sexually content, such as photos,videos or sexual messages through the use of e-mail or social networking sites or cell phone can have many consequences. Sexting has become a normal part of life for teenagers (Hadad, 2015). This is an issue because teenagers are unaware of the consequences of the content they are sharing through social media.
